Martin Bien is Executive Vice President of Fraport's Strategic Business Unit Traffic and Terminalmanagement, Airport Expansion.

Mr. Bien studied economics and engineering at the Technical University in Berlin and started to work for the former Flughafen Frankfurt Main AG (FAG) once having received his degree. He held several management positions in the ground handling division and was responsible for the planning, implementation and operation of baggage and baggage security systems.

In 1997 Mr. Bien was appointed member of the division management. In 2001 he was responsible for all ground handling operations with the business sectors ramp-passenger and central ground handling infrastructure. Before his new appointment he was the division manager of central ground handling infrastructure and responsible for ground handling services as part of airport expansion activities.
