Volker Zintel

Volker Zintel is Executive Vice President of the Strategic Business Unit Airport Security Management at Fraport AG.

In 1990, Mr. Zintel joined the then Flughafen Frankfurt Main AG as head of the Aviation Security Department.

From 1997 to 1999 he served in a number of executive and managerial roles in the company's Travel & Trade Facilities and Services Unit. In 1999 Mr. Zintel was appointed to the position of Senior Vice President in the Traffic and Terminal Services Strategic Unit. From 2004 to 2007 he was responsible for the Strategic Business Unit Traffic and Terminal Management which was transformed into the Strategic Business Unit Traffic and Terminal Management, Airport Expansion and Security. Since the first of january 2007, Mr. Zintel is the Executive Vice President of the new Strategic Business Unit Airport Security Management and chairman of the supervisory board of the Fraport subsidiary FIS GmbH.

Before joining Fraport AG, Zintel worked in a variety of management positions with the Hesse state Police for nearly 20 years. From 1984 to 1990, he was mayor of the town Hochheim am Main.
