Fraport AG is a leading international Group in the airport business sector and operates Frankfurt Airport which is one of the major air traffic hubs in the world.

In regard to the passenger count in 2007, Frankfurt Airport was ranked third in Europe behind London-Heathrow and Paris Charles de Gaulle. In the cargo sector Frankfurt Airport was ranked first in Europe. Frankfurt Airport serviced a total of 54.2 million passengers in 2007.

In the coming years Fraport will modernize and expand the infrastructure in the north area of the airport. The extensive capacity expansion program includes the planning of a fourth runway for aircraft landings only and Terminal 3 at the Frankfurt location. Furthermore, Fraport will implement continuous measures to generate further retail space and increase real estate business at the airport. Consequently, Frankfurt Airport is not only a central traffic junction for aircraft, cars and trains but also an "Airport City" – a first class address for mobility, shopping, events and real estate.

Fraport's portfolio of services includes more than all services connected to airport operations. Fraport is also a competent partner for airport retailing and real estate development.

In 2007, the Fraport Group generated € 2,3 billion revenue and Group profits of € 214 million.

Approximately 70,000 people at over 500 companies and government agencies make the airport the largest employment location in Germany. Approximately 19,000 persons (situation on 31.12.2007) are employed by the Fraport Group in Frankfurt.

With its associated companies and subsidiaries Fraport AG is active at over 60 locations around the world.
