Elegant look with modern comfort

Three of four new docking positions at Pier C/D are tailored to accommodate the A380 superjumbo. A new feature: Each of these A380 positions is equipped with three passenger bridges to serve the upper and main levels of the twin-deck Airbus. This will allow for simultaneous two-level boarding and de-boarding of up to 550 passengers per flight. 

The spacious bridge structures are designed to ensure congestion-free passenger flow. The open and expandable gates of the new Pier C/D are distributed over two levels. Level 2 is for economy passengers, while Level 3, with the Senator lounge and business gates, is reserved for priority passengers. 

Designed to the latest standard for passenger requirements (architects JSK), reconstruction of Pier C/D was completed within only 20 months. The third passenger bridge can be flexibly used and is easily negotiable for mobility-limited passengers due to integrated processes.
