- the new airport will be located east of the capital city toward the tourist beaches
- Airlines currently providing regular services at Dakar Airport include: Air France, Alitalia, Iberia, TAP, British Midland, SN Brussels, South African Airways, Delta and Lufthansa Cargo
- Fraport and its partners will operate and manage the planned new airport of Dakar, Senegal, for a period of 25 years
