Area of activity:
- Central handling of international airmail
The Airmail Center Frankfurt (ACF) is a joint venture of Fraport AG, Lufthansa Cargo AG and Deutsche Post AG. Fraport and Lufthansa Cargo each hold 40%, Deutsche Post 20% of the company's share capital.
The Airmail Center (based in Frankfurt and Munich) handles up to 400 metric tons of international and military airmail daily. Letters, parcels and packages in containers and bags are transshipped at ACF using a high-speed sorting system onto flights to some 300 destinations around the world every day.
Its central location between terminals 1 and 2 and its proximity to the Deutsche Post's International Postal Center (IPZ) ensure smooth, rapid transfers between Deutsche Post AG and international airlines. Process-optimized functional assignments serve to streamline the airmail routing for highly efficient distribution and logistics.
This complete range of international airmail handling between aircraft, the International Postal Center and surface delivery is available to all airlines with services to Frankfurt. ACF handles both physical transshipment and the processing of accompanying documents.
As part of its quality management efforts, the ACF was certified in January 2001 to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 quality standards.
