Delhi International Airport Private Limited (DIAL) is operated by three partner companies: Fraport owns 10% of the shares and, under an operator contract with DIAL, has certain airport-specific consulting responsibilities regarding the modernization, development and operation of Delhi International Airport. The concession runs for 30 years with an option to renew for another 30-year period.
The other companies involved in Delhi International Airport are:
- The GMR Group, an Indian infrastructure developer in the highway and energy sectors, holds a 54% share
- The Malaysian Airports Holding Berhad holds a 10% share through a subsidiary
- The other 26% of the shares are State-owned by the Airports Authority of India, which thus retains a blocking minority
