- LAP operates the Jorge Chavez International Airport (JCIA), a HUB for the South American Region. Serves around 45 destinations in almost 20 countries and connects every main city in South, Central and North America
- JCIA is also an important cargo airport.
- It is the natural HUB for domestic flights.
- JCIA is considered the best airport in South America. It inaugurated new facilities in Jan. 2005. Has a totally new passenger terminal building with 7 passenger loading bridges, a 5,000 sq. metres commercial area open to all public, plus a almost 500 me long international concourse with a vast duty free commercial offer
- JCIA has a big VIP lounge, a smoking bar, various food & beverages facilities, as well as a traditionally Peruvian retail offer including handcrafts, silver, alpaca, leather, jewelry and others.
Fraport holds a 70.01-percent share in the company.
