Fast, reliable aircraft recovery throughout the world

The Fraport aircraft recovery team is made up of professional recovery experts and specializes in every possible recovery scenario. With over 40 years of experience in the sector, Fraport can offer airports and airlines throughout the world first-class aircraft recovery services, either at Frankfurt Airport or at the customer's location. They cover on-site consultancy services by Fraport experts, a full service including the coordination and implementation of the recovery operation and the use of all the technical equipment necessary as well as telephone support by trained recovery specialists via a 24-hour hotline.

International Training Courses

The Fraport recovery team also offers training courses in the recovery of disabled aircraft for airport personnel. The courses can be held either at Frankfurt Airport or, by agreement, at other airports. They provide both theoretical and practical instruction, deal with the design criteria of the different types of aircraft and teach established recovery methods. Training is carried out using a specially constructed narrow body aircraft recovery trainer.

Ultra-modern Aircraft Recovery Equipment

Fraport maintains an extensive arsenal of specialized aircraft recovery equipment. Included in the equipment inventory is the "Aircraft Recovery and Transport System" (ARTS), special aircraft towing devices, aircraft lifting bags and crane recovery devices, portable road systems and ancilliary equipment. With the exception of ARTS, all aircraft recovery equipment is stored in specially designed, mobile container systems which allow them to be transported quickly to the site of the incident by road or air.
