If you are unable to e-mail your application documents, we also look forward to getting your application by regular mail. Your job application is your business card and is critical to a successful application.
How to prepare your application correctly:
Letter of application
Get us interested! In your letter of application you should state your reasons for choosing us as potential employers. Please also specify either the position advertised or, in the case of vocational training, which occupation you would like to learn and when you hope to start.
Short curriculum vitae/résumé
Please supply us with a table giving a brief overview of the most important facts about you. This should include your education, work experience and other skills.
Apart from your school or professional achievements, we are also interested in your other interests and activities, e.g. part-time jobs, time spent abroad, memberships of clubs and associations, honorary posts and other skills and areas of knowledge (e.g. PC experience, languages).
Photocopies
Please submit photocopies of the following, if applicable. They do not have to be certified.
Please do not put your application documents in a folder or in plastic document protectors. A paper clip is enough. This saves you postage charges and us a whole lot of work.
To get your career off to a successful start, please note the following when applying for vocational training at Fraport AG.
Application deadlines
Vocational training at Fraport AG starts on September 1 of each year. The deadline for applications is September 15 of the previous year.
General conditions
Please note that we can only consider applications from persons living not more than one hour from their place of training. If this is not the case, we ask you to submit with your application written proof that you have reasonably priced lodgings in the Frankfurt area. Confirmation by your parents that they will support you financially if necessary is sufficient.
Please apply to us only if you do not already have vocational training. The limited number of training vacancies available means we can not offer retraining or a second training course.
Applicants with a general or specialized matriculation certificate (Abitur or equivalent) should have completed their basic military service before commencing training.
Applicants should not be older than 24 when their training course begins.
Selection procedure
We receive a very large number of applications for a limited number of commercial training places. For this reason, we use a lottery system to select the applicants who will be invited to participate in our selection procedure.
The written test takes place in October/November. After the tests have been evaluated we invite a certain number of applicants for an interview and for some types of training to a team exercise.
Only after this do we decide to whom places on training courses at Fraport AG will be offered.
Important!
All applicants must undergo an examination by the works physician before their contract is drawn up. The contract is subject to a reliability test according to Article 29d of the Aviation Law.
