In 2002, Fraport first signed on as a sponsor of the "Jugend forscht" Young Researchers' program. Initially only a substitute sponsor, Fraport has been a regular host of the Young Researchers' Hesse regional contest since 2004.

For the ninth time in succession, Fraport was again sponsoring the regional contest of "Jugend Forscht" German national science fair this year. 80 young scientists participated in the fair on February 10, 2010, submitting 37 projects in the disciplines physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, working environment, earth science, space science, and technology.
