ITB 2007: “On the Move”: From Airport to Frankfurt Airport City

Visit Fraport AG at Stand 113 in Hall 9a

09/2007

FRA/rap> From March 7 to March 11, Fraport AG Frankfurt Airport Services Worldwide will again be exhibiting at the International  Tourism Exchange (ITB) trade fair in Berlin to present Germany's biggest aviation hub, Frankfurt Airport (FRA).  Visitors at the world's largest travel and tourism exhibition are cordially invited to Fraport's Stand 113 in Hall 9a.

More than just an airport, FRA is evolving into the  dynamic Frankfurt Airport City, with its ever-growing range of services and facilities for people and businesses.  "On the Move," the motto of this year's Fraport stand, exemplifies FRA's role as a global gateway of mobility, ideas and innovations as well as its spirit of development – particularly major new real estate projects that are forming the second pillar of business for the airport company.  These include:  Airrail Center Frankfurt (being built on the rooftop of FRA's Long-distance Train Station), Gateway Gardens, and the Mönchhof development area for logistics and service companies.

Trade fair participants will get the latest details about  preparations for the A380 superjumbo (including the A380 maintenance base), and about the future Airport Expansion Program – featuring the Northwest landing runway and Terminal 3.  Another highlight will be the  three-dimensional computer simulation of landings on the new runway.  Furthermore, major redevelopment of the existing passenger terminals – including the planned Pier A0 extension which will begin construction in 2008 – will be presented at ITB 2007.

Tourism and travel-agency specialists will be able to learn more about Fraport's free online ExpertNet – an indispensable tool for advising travel clients about the FRA global hub, which includes the most extensive network of airlines and destinations in the air and the best intermodal links on the ground.  Fraport will also be presenting inexpensive parking offers at FRA and the wide range of shops and restaurants at Germany's and Europe's "Gateway to the World."  Visit Frankfurt Airport City on the Internet at: www.airportcity-frankfurt.com
