FRA/th> Fraport AG's capital market communications captured top rankings in all four categories of the Thomson Reuters Extel Pan-European Survey 2008. Considered one of the most authoritative surveys of its kind, this survey rates the investor relations activities of companies from 31 different industry sectors throughout Europe.
In the transport sector, Fraport AG took second place among the 46 companies and 64 individuals rated for their IR activities. Stefan Rüter, head of Fraport's Investor Relations department was named "Best IR Professional", and his deputy Marc Poeschmann came second.
On the ranking list of executive board chairmen of the rated companies in the transport sector, Fraport's CEO Dr. Wilhelm Bender captured third place. In the Chief Financial Officer category, Fraport's Dr. Matthias Zieschang garnered second place.
The British polling firm Extel Surveys, in cooperation with Thomson Reuters, a financial services provider, conducts this survey every year on a Europe-wide basis among analysts and fund managers, rating the professionalism of the IR work of stock-listed companies.
Ratings were based on the following key quality criteria: Availability of the Investor Relations team, and of executive board members at conferences, road shows, and individual meetings; also the quality of IR publications, corporate and product-industry knowledge, as well as the reliability of management statements. Last month, Fraport's Investor Relations activities were ranked second among the 50 MDAX companies by the German business magazine Wirtschaftswoche and the German Investor Relations Association (DIRK).
