Awards

Frankfurt Airport and Fraport AG have received numerous national and international awards over recent years.
For us this represents both an incentive and an obligation to extend and optimize our high quality range of services both at Frankfurt and at other airports throughout the world.

2010

• In 2009 the IATA (International Air Transport Association) task force "Baggage Improvement Program" visited 25 airports and examined processes, systems and cooperation with airlines in the baggage service sector. Among all airports, the grounding handling unit of Fraport AG was considered to have the best baggage handling in cooperation with Lufthansa.

• Frankfurt Airport once again received the "ACE Award for Excellence" (ACE) from the Air Cargo World magazine. In the category of airports handling over 1 million mt airfreight, Frankfurt Airport achieved superb results in the sectors facilities for airfreight handling, work of involved government agencies, price to performance ratio and punctuality.
  

• Frankfurt Airport (FRA) has been awarded four out of five possible stars by the U.K. consulting company Skytrax. Thus, FRA is Germany's only four-star-airport. Other four-star-airports include Amsterdam, Kuala Lumpur and Zurich.
  In particular, the Skytrax rating focuses on

  • customer satisfaction at FRA
  • passing through security control
  • waiting times at the baggage claim belts
  • amenities and services offered in the terminals
  • baggage carts
  • information boards for connecting flights
  • services for mobility-impaired travelers.
