Area Development

Mönchhof site

With an area of 110 hectares (approx. 272 acres), the Externer Link Mönchhof Site in the northwest of Frankfurt Airport is the region's largest undeveloped commercial site. Our real estate subsidiary is responsible for developing and marketing the site. Logistics groups, airport-related enterprises, and companies will find this an ideal central location for the distribution of goods and services throughout the entire Frankfurt/Rhine-Main region. The first 6,000 square meters of land  were sold  in February 2007 to the internationally-active "ontour transport service GmbH" logistics company- In june 2007 a second contract was inked for the sale of approximately 33,000 square meters to Logicreal Airport FFM GmbH.

The first step of the company focused on logistics facilities will be the construction of the "Logicpark Airport Frankfurt" on grounds covering 18,000 square meters. The laying of the foundation stone was on April 18, 2008. The Logicpark Airport Frankfurt has attractive storage buildings, offices and service areas.

Gateway Gardens

Gateway Gardens celebrated its official opening ceremony on June 6, 2008. This new addition to Frankfurt Airport City is located in close vicinity to Terminal 2. Gateway Gardens covers an area of 35 hectares next to the busiest highway (Frankfurter Kreuz) intersection in Europe. Consequently, this superb location offers quick and direct road connections to Frankfurt Airport, highways and railway systems. Modern architecture in the midst of green areas opens up a wide range of options for use: Service companies, hotels, meeting and conference facilities, catering, retail, and entertainment facilities are expected to locate in the area by the year 2016. Thus a pulsating urban quarter for work and leisure is growing as part of the international Frankfurt Airport City.

Located to the northeast of Frankfurt Airport, Gateway Gardens is being developed as a public-private partnership (PPP) project, involving the City of Frankfurt and the four private partners Fraport, Groß & Partner Grundstücksentwicklungsgesellschaft, OFB Projektentwicklung, and ING Real Estate.
