The growth trend at Fraport AG’s home base Frankfurt Airport (FRA) continues unabated. In October 2017, FRA served more than six million passengers, representing an increase of 6.4 percent year-on-year and a new passenger record for the month of October.
The Fraport Group closed the first nine months (ending September 30) of the 2017 financial year with a significant 13.7 percent rise in Group revenue to €2.23 billion. At Frankfurt Airport (FRA), growth was fueled, in particular, by higher revenue resulting from the noticeable jump in passenger traffic, higher proceeds from the retail business and security services, as well as the sale of property sites.
Frankfurt Airport (FRA)’s new winter schedule will take effect when daylight saving time ends on October 28. In winter 2017/2018, 89 airlines will be offering passenger flights to 262 destinations in 100 countries around the world.
In September 2017, some 6.2 million passengers traveled through Frankfurt Airport (FRA) – an increase of 5.4 percent on the previous year. This was the first time that FRA exceeded the six-million-passenger mark in a September month.
