In August 2017, passenger numbers at Frankfurt Airport (FRA) rose by 5.0 percent to nearly 6.3 million passengers. During the eight-month period from January to August 2017, FRA posted accumulated passenger growth of 4.5 percent.
Fraport AG today submitted the building permit application to the City of Frankfurt for the construction of the new Pier G at Frankfurt Airport (FRA). Fraport has decided to move up the construction of the new pier in response to passenger growth, particularly in the low-cost segment.

In the first six months of the 2017 business year (January to June), Fraport AG’s Group revenue advanced to almost €1.4 billion, an increase of €130.6 million or 10.7 percent year-on-year. Reasons for this positive performance included strong passenger growth and higher revenue gained from property sales, as well as increased retail revenue achieved at the Group’s home base Frankfurt Airport.
Lima Airport Partners, S.R.L. (LAP) – a Fraport AG majority-owned company – and the government of Peru today signed an amendment to the 2001 Lima Airport Concession, thus making it possible for LAP to move ahead with a major expansion program at one of South America’s fastest growing airports.
