Fraport holds 100% of Aerodrom Ljubljana since March 19, 2015. Aerodrom Ljubljana manages the entire airport, with key management functions performed by Fraport. Ljubljana Jože Pučnik International Airport is the biggest airport serving the capital Ljubljana, and is the international gateway to Slovenia. Over 20 destinations served by 10 scheduled airlines constitute the wide-ranging service offer which Aerodrom Ljubljana offers passengers and airlines according to international standards.
The geographical position makes Ljubljana Jože Pučnik International Airport a natural hub for south Eastern Europe including Western Balkans and parts of central Europe. It is the principal hub for Adria Airways, which is part of Star Alliance.
Ljubljana Jože Pučnik International Airport is located 26 km North of Ljubljana, the capital city of Slovenia and political and economic heart of Slovenia. Ljubljana is home to approximately 0.3 million inhabitants whereas entire Slovenia accounts for around 2 million inhabitants.
