FRA leads innovation in the airfreight Industry

At Frankfurt Airport, we are intensively pushing the topic of digitization and automatization. We are always working on new products and solutions in order to offer our customers even faster processes and greater reliability – gaining us the role as innovation leader in the air cargo industry.

One example of how we are pushing digitization is our cargo community system FAIR@Link. Today, FAIR@Link represents one of the most advanced cargo community systems at any airport in the world. The data platform allows secure and immediate electronic data exchange between all companies and public authorities involved in the process chain. By means of FAIR@Link, we have been able to unify interfaces and accelerate processes, thereby achieving more efficient use of our transport infrastructure.

German Customs is already linked to Fair@Link and we have just begun to integrate the local EU border checkpoints for plant protection and veterinary examinations, as well as the German Federal Office for Agriculture and Food.
