To highlight potential for improvement in the key processes of Fraport AG, certification of the quality management system in line with international standard ISO 9001 was applied for and successfully completed back in 1996. From 2000, this certification was also extended to Group companies and a voluntary certification group was set up.

The aim of quality management is to ensure high quality of the available products and services as well as continuous improvement of all key processes. Knowledge of the processes performed in the company and their effectiveness, efficiency and interaction are essential to long-term corporate success. Measures such as internal audits are performed regularly in order to maintain a high level of process and service quality and improve it with the persons responsible as required. Likewise, TÜV NORD CERT GmbH conducts regular external auditing to maintain the certification. This serves to verify and confirm the internationally recognized high quality of the Fraport Group's products and services.
