To keep  the four-runway system running smoothly, in its capacity as airport operator,  Fraport is legally obliged to perform maintenance and repair work. This work is  usually performed at night in order to minimize disruption to flight  operations. No aircraft may take off or land on the respective runway during  these periods.

If runways  have to be shut down, this can cause noise displacement in the area around the  airport. That is why we keep you informed of planned runway shutdowns on a  daily basis.

Past runway  shutdowns

An  overview of runway shutdowns (available only in German) since January 2019 is set out below.

The only runway shutdowns listed up to September 2019 are those which may have affected flight operations due to their timeframe.
