AIRPORT FIRE DEPARTMENT

Frankfurt Airport can be compared to a medium-sized city in respect of its area and the number of employees. Their safety must always be ensured.

With more than 200,000 people every day on an area covering 25 square kilometers, Frankfurt Airport requires the safety infrastructure of a medium-sized city. The Airport Fire Department plays a crucial role in this respect. Fire protection, technical rescue and medical rescue services are key elements of the airport’s safety concept.

Responding to about 3,500 incidents a year, the Airport Fire Department is directly involved in the processes at Frankfurt Airport.
