Airport Management and operation of Jorge Chavez International Airport

On February 14, 2001, following a competitive international bidding process, the Government of Peru's Ministry of Transportation and Communication awarded a 40-year Concession Contract for the development and operation of Jorge Chávez International Airport (JCIA) to the concession company Lima Airport Partners S.R.L. Considering an additional 10-year extension at the discretion of Lima Airport Partners, the concession is set to run until 2051.

Lima Airport Partners manages the entire airport, with key management functions performed by Fraport under an operation and management agreement. JCIA is the only commercial airport serving the capital Lima and is the main international gateway to Peru.   Lima Airport Partners provides passengers and airlines with an infrastructure and a comfortable travel experience that meets high international standards, with approximately 20 domestic and more than 40 international destinations operated by around 20 airlines. JCIA was regularly voted as "Best Airport in South America"   in the World Airport Passenger survey conducted by Skytrax.

It is the principal hubfor LATAM Perú, which is part of the LATAM group.

JCIA is situated 9.6 km Northwest of Lima, the capital city of Peru and the political and economic heart of Peru. Lima accounts for approximately 60% of the country's GDP and is home to approximately 30% of the country's   inhabitants.
