- State the correct type of authorization for the activity.
- Ensure that authorized signatories/authorized representatives sign the application form by hand
- Obtain the client’s signature if required.
- There are two ways to do this: The
web portal or by filling out the online form. - Scan the completed and signed page and send it in PDF format to

Airport ID Cards for Terminal 3
Important Information for Existing Customers
Existing Airport ID Cards retain their validity for the same ID Card color.
Important Information for New Customers
Starting January 2026, an Airport ID Card will be required for Terminal 3.

- What ID card color is required?
- Green ID card: A green ID card allows its holder to access the general operating areas (in the terminals before the security checkpoints).
- Blue ID card: A blue ID card allows its holder to access the airside areas (behind the security checkpoints) in the terminals. This ID card includes the authorizations of the green ID card. A background check and
aviation security training are required before this card can be issued. - Yellow ID card: A yellow ID card includes the authorizations of the green and blue ID cards. It allows its holder to access the apron, in addition to the airside areas in the terminals and the general operating areas. A background check,
safety management training and aviation security training are required before this card can be issued.
- Company registration – processing time of approx. 2 days
- ID card applications for general operating areas – processing time of approx. 2 weeks (Quick Service available)*
- All documents must be filled in completely and correctly and signed by hand
- Documents should be sent in PDF format (max. 5 MB, only completed pages + any annexes) to
flughafenausweise@fraport.de - The company will be notified by e-mail as soon as processing is complete.
- ID cards may only be collected by prior appointment.
*The Quick Service allows ID cards to be issued directly at the Airport ID Card Service Center on presentation of the signed application. This option is available for ID cards for general operating areas (green ID cards).
For ID cards that allow access to security restricted areas, additional training (“aviation security training” and, where applicable, “basic safety training") and a background check stored in the system are required. Additional costs are payable in accordance with Fraport AG’s current list of services. An appointment must be made.
It is not necessary to send the application in advance.
