Fraport AGM 2025: Executive and Supervisory Boards Report to Shareholders

Annual event to be held in person at Frankfurt Airport

The 24th regular Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Fraport AG will take place today, May 27, in the Conference Center of the Sheraton Hotel at Frankfurt Airport.

In his speech to be published when the event starts at 10 a.m., Fraport CEO Dr. Stefan Schulte will initially focus on the 2024 fiscal year: “Despite significant headwinds, we achieved our targets in the 2024 fiscal year. One thing is again clear: the strategic development of our international portfolio is a major anchor of stability for our business. While the German market continues to experience weak growth, chiefly due to costs imposed by regulators, many of our Group airports worldwide set new records. More than 45 percent of our EBITDA was generated by our international business.”

In Lima and Antalya, Fraport has expanded capacities through measures that include the construction of new terminals. These are expected to generate new growth for the international business. In Frankfurt, Fraport will conclude the biggest investment cycle of the company's history when the new Terminal  3 is scheduled to open after Easter 2026. Positive impacts on key performance indicators are expected to be felt even during the current fiscal year.

CEO Schulte: “Even before the completion of our major expansion projects, we will be approaching the free cash flow break-even point. We will then begin to reduce our debt level, including the additional burden we are carrying as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. All of these steps will bring us closer to restarting dividend payments.”

Schulte is looking ahead positively to the current 2025 fiscal year: “We’re generally optimistic about the outlook for the summer in Frankfurt, even though geopolitical developments and international tariff disputes are currently making forecasts challenging. In terms of key indicators, we’re expecting moderate, single-digit percentage growth for our operating result, while the Group result is projected to show more restrained development.”
