All important information regarding the application for a personal airport ID card:

To reduce the administrative workload for aviation security authorities caused by frequent requests for additional information and/or documents, the responsible aviation security authority and the Airport ID Service Center (SCF) request your cooperation:

  • Submission of application documents:
    • Applications for background check: at least 8 weeks in advance
    • Application for background check extension: your application must be received by the Hessian Aviation Security Authority at least 3 months before expiry and our processing times also need to be taken into account. We recommend submitting your application to us 4 months before your ZVÜ expires.
  • All applications (applications for a permanent ID card and applications for a background check) consist of two parts, which must always be sent together (one PDF file per person with a max. size of 5 MB) in one e-mail to  flughafenausweise@fraport.de. Applications for identity cards and background checks therefore consist of four parts.
  • After completion of the background check, the results notification can, if desired, only be issued to the person checked by the responsible authority. For this, please contact the aviation security authority directly at:    v5.ppffm@polizei.hessen.de
